Giving student discounts for double-sided printing
If you are using Print-Limit to manage the printing costs at your school, you know that you can set up user quotas to control the amount of printing that students do during the school year. But did you know that you can encourage responsible behavior by giving them discounts on their accounts?

- Open the Print-Limit Administrative Console.
- Choose ‘Charging’
- Click ‘Advanced’

- Choose “Charging by page size category”
- At the bottom of this screen, there is an option to apply a discount for double-sided printing. “If document is duplex then discount”
Adding credit automatically to user accounts
Controlling printing costs is easy if your users know that they only have a certain amount of credit. But what if you don’t want to manage individual print accounts for each user? Now you can add credit to a group of users automatically to save time and manage your resources.

- Open the Print-Limit Administrative Console
- Choose ‘Groups’
- Pick the group you would like to schedule for automatic credits.
- On the right hand side there is an option to ‘Auto Schedule’. Choose rather you would like to schedule the credits daily, weekly or monthly and fill in your scheduled amount.
Changing User Notification
What happens when your users run out of print credits? Do they know who to contact? Print-Limit allows administrators to customize print messages. When a user needs to request new credits, they will know exactly what actions to take.
- Open up the Print-Limit Administrative Console
- Click the ‘Options’ button
-
Go to the ‘Printing Options’ tab
- Customize the message in the dialog box.
