GenevaLogic Announces NEW Vision Version 6
New Vision version 6.0 is scheduled for release later this Summer, raising the bar for classroom management™ software. We've expanded and improved the great features that made Vision the #1 choice of educators for teaching with, supervising and controlling student computers.

One of the major improvements to Vision is the introduction of an entirely fresh concept in classroom management™ software with the integration of an innovative Dashboard that gives instructors a flexible and dynamic view of the classroom computers. The Dashboard is the focal point within Vision that will allow teachers to resize, rearrange and customize their view of the student computers with new controls for applying teacher commands instantly to any computer in the classroom.

Incorporating the most requested customer features into Vision has been the main focus for this latest release. A common request has been to provide more graphical feedback so teachers can easily determine the status of student computers. In the Vision Dashboard, new thumbnail views of student computers will provide this real-time feedback. Teachers will know instantly which computers are connected, who is logged on, which computers are locked and with the release of the next version of Surf-Lock, which computers are blocked from using the Internet.

Another valuable feature added to Vision in response to teacher input, is a completely new network communication and connectivity model to keep pace with the changing technology environment in today’s schools. Extended classroom technology removes the traditional limits on using classroom management™ software over a school network. With Vision, instructors can now extend their computer screen to any student computer, even if that student is in a different classroom, across campus or another school across the district. Flexible connectivity also means that mobile labs, carts and laptops are fully supported and easy to manage. Vision 6.0 lets teachers connect and disconnect to different students and classrooms with just a few clicks of the mouse.

One of the fastest growing trends in technology is the acceptance and expansion of wireless networks. This is no different for the education community and schools are increasingly looking for products that can accommodate both wired and wireless networks. This growing need is supported in Vision with the introduction of a unique algorithm, exclusively designed to optimized wireless connections for both B and G wireless networks.
